well, it's really hard to pinpoint exactly when all these feelings started rushing in. Maybe it was around the time I was having some health issues and needed to see a doctor on a almost weekly basis. I know some people have been known to develop what I call "doctor-phobia" or "hospital-phobia"...well, not me. I started getting really into the whole mystery of the human body. As the months kept going by, I had my first child and put everything else aside to dedicate my entire self to my new bundle of joy. Every once in a while I'd look up information on how to become a nurse. At that time I felt that being a nurse was more "hands on". Now I'm a little confused. I mean, I KNOW for a fact that I want to become a doctor but given my reality, I need to arrange my life in a schedule that will work for school, for myself but mostly for my husband and kids. I don't want to neglect them while pursuing my dream. I don't think the reward in the end will be as sweet if I do that. And so, here is my plan for now: study to become a nurse. When I get my associates degree I can start working part-time while I study to get my bachelor's degree. After I'm done with that I hope to have completed most of the courses required for pre-med and then I'll be able to start medical school. I feel my experience as a nurse may help me become a better candidate for the job.
But for now, this is all a field of ideas ...and right now, I have no idea where to start.
